Based at Studio1825, we’re the photography studio that can get baby’s to sleep, toddlers to giggle & families to relax.
I have an awesome job. I get to meet families with their newborn baby as well as growing families of brothers & sisters (plus the generations) to create portraits full of fun & laughter at times important to them, in their lives.
I’ve been a professional photographer for over 20 years and I’m lucky enough to be entrusted to capture growing families milestones, before they get too big, and decorate their homes with memories that bring happiness and warmth to all who live there.
During my 20+ years photographing I’ve become a dad to three girls and have learnt the gift of patience alongside more practical tasks such as rocking newborns to sleep, entertaining the most stern-faced of toddlers into smiles & giggles and persuading grandparents to do as they are told… The last one may be more of a wish, but it works occasionally!
I’ve been described as “the baby whisperer” by a few parents over the years however I’m mostly a professional photographer, from Belper, who can adult when needed… But, when in the studio, play - or newborn snuggles - normally work best! Following years of running a small chain of highstreet studios - in Derby, Lichfield and Leicester - I’m excited to welcome you to Studio1825, home of Be my Baby photography.

We gift our time & photography, with Butterfly Wishes Network, to families affected by life limiting illnesses, so that moments can be photographed and treasured by all for many years to come.
For every piece of wall art we sell we plant a new tree with the help of Ecologi to not only do our bit against climate change but also support sustainability & ethical working opportunities.
Through our work with our studio charity, Be Bold Be You Foundation, we are able to gift professional makeover based experiences to those affected by cancer who are living in the Midlands or South Yorkshire.
